The Chelchele village in Ethiopia's Yirgacheffe region, situated at 1900-2200 meters above sea level, is celebrated for its high-quality coffee, which flourishes under diverse shade trees in fertile, clay-rich soil and is cultivated by smallholders and plantations using organic methods. As the birthplace of Arabica coffee, Ethiopia, though contributing a small percentage to the world's supply, is recognized for the remarkable variety of its coffee flavors, particularly the bright fruit, floral notes, acidity, and sweetness found in distinguished regions like Yirgacheffe, Sidama, and Guji.
